To stop messenger from starting is quite simple. Go to Program Files and
rename Messenger to Messenger old. Works for me.

Got a question - how does one get the Windows Messenger in Windows XP
from starting up?
I have done the following: Unchecked in the automatic log on in Outlook
Express/General.
Unchecked in System
Startup
Do not see an uninstall in
Add/Remove - how can I get it
out of the Startup taskbar
(right corner)????
