Clint, Try this Win-ME DOS link: http://www.mvps.org/dts/WinME_DOS/Win-ME.htm I have been using it with Win-ME as a dual boot to Win98 DOS and it works great. Just follow the instructions for creating the DOS from your Win98 CD and enjoy!

(I was using 98, tried ME a few days ago). I hated 2k. Several things you cannot do with it that I was used to in 98. For the most part, it was being forced to use IE5.5 or 6 (in both XP and 2k), since I hated them (one of the many reasons described below for IE6), and for both 5.5 & 6, not being able to open more than one browser window from OE. I could not fix that in 5.5, soooooo.....I tried IE6 yesterday with ME and WAS able to hack it to at least do that (tips posted here did NOT work for me! I had to come up with something else). Now, if I can only fix the other M$ screwups in IE6, that would be great, then I might try XP. (XP looks too much like AOL for my tastes! LOL!) I also need to use DOS, which seemed to be a REAL PITA with 2k and XP, as is showing to be as well in ME. IMO, I still like 98 by FAR the best. I can get it to do anything I want. It's a real "hands on OS", where as ME, XP and 2K; M$ does NOT want you TOUCHING them! :-) -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda F. Linda -----Original Message----- On Behalf Of OrpheusComputing.com Sent: Sunday, September 08, 2002 6:10 AM Sorry for all the ME posts. :) Here's another. This @#$% window keeps popping up (IE6) at almost every site saying a cookie has been restricted. Good, that's fine.....I want them restricted. BUT, the box IS checked to NOT warn about this anymore "Do not show this message again" and it still keeps popping up! How can this be stopped? Another annoying thing. Why do you have to click more times in IE6 just to get a download? I keep UNchecking the box "always ask" and it STILL asks. This is incredibly annoying. Is there anyway just to click 'save' and be done with it and have it download in one simple click like it did in IE 5.x? (This is why I never used IE6).
