I don't think this is a problem with your computer. But, if I were you I would get rid of that Western Digital LifeGuard, it can cause problems plus it's spyware that is not (yet) identifiable.
Everyone has these problems from time to time. There are several places/people that I cannot get email from, and several people/places that cannot get email from me, yet others won't have any problem with them at all. Don't expect to get any help from your ISP though, they will deny any problem exists. Many ISP's are either purposely blocking, or have routing problems that they will not fix nor even acknowledge. That 550 error is typical and I get it all the time. For what it's worth, I sent an email to that address and it wasn't bounced back *YET*, but checking into that address shows: " [EMAIL PROTECTED] is possibly a valid email address. The SMTP server xmxpita.excite.com responded 502 VRFY command is disabled" 208.45.133.107 is Qwest Communications (which is Excite) and that shows when getting info on that email address. May want to try anyway and ask them. [EMAIL PROTECTED] If it's someone you must get email to, try sending from another address or have someone send the email for you. -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thomas Fisher" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Ok all, I need a bit of help. I have been having an issue lately on my machine and haven't been able to track down the problem yet. I've sent some emails to some lists, and get a message in my inbox about the message failing to be delivered to an address. At first, I chalked it up to someone on the list setting up a fake email address (the first one was [EMAIL PROTECTED]) and trying to get addresses from the list, then abandoning the account and never unsubbing. But after getting a message or two when sending email to friends, I started wondering if there was something on my machine that might be sending out a message at the same time my intended email goes out. So I did a AV Scan, ran Ad-Aware, and the tried Spybot Search & Destroy. Other than the Backweb stuff installed by Western Digital LifeGuard, nothing came back. Anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this, or what to look for? I'm stumped. Below is one of the examples I'm talking about if you need to look at the message. I removed all but the offending email addresses/Names for obvious reasons. Thomas Message from yahoo.com.
