Greetings, Windoze 98, AVG vi*us protection 6.0 free version, Zone Alarm ver. 2.6.362
The last 3 or 4 times I've turned my computer on I get an error message that says; While initializing device AVGCORE: Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer. Naturally, it stops the boot up and I have to go through scandisk and it offers to send me to safe mode at which point I choose normal and it boots up correctly. The first time I chose Safe Mode and found nothing out of order. I've had AVG for several months now and updated 10 or 12 times, each time everything has worked perfectly. I tried to update again and it wouldn't allow me because I have the latest update. Do you think maybe something corrupted a file on the last download of an update?
