Clint do you have a figure for how much memory your NAV consumes?

I would be interested in comparing it to other versions I have access to with clients' systems. I know SAV (Symantec Antiv***s) 8, uses about 5.9 - 6.0 mb of memory, from recent work on this client's network.

I still use the OLD version '95 of NAV v5.1!! Why? It
consumes FAR LESS resources and memory, it will find the SAME
malicious codes that newer versions will, and I've never had
ANY problems with it AT ALL. I had nothing but problems with
v2000, 2001, 2002; especially with them the 'email scanning'
feature was MOST problematic. I don't see the point of it
since all emails are scanned anyway with 'auto protect'.

Of course anything running in the BG is going to consume RAM
and resources, and of course when NAV is actively running a
manual scan, it's going to be consuming more. So no, it is
still consuming RAM and resources as long as it is 'active' or
'on'.

I have Norton Utilities installed--mostly for the times that I
choose to
use CleanSweep and maintenence features. Along with it is
Norton AV, which
I do use to keep my AV updates. However, the only thing I
have running is
Norton Autoprotect to check files. I do NOT have it checking
all my email.
It takes forever and a ton of resources to do that.

I understand that using Norton in this way, it only uses
resources when
necessary for checking files. Is this correct?
