How big is your FrontPage web, Larry? I had a timeout problem with my web
also and I'm on a cable connection!! My host told me to try splitting the
web up into subwebs so I could publish parts of it separately instead of the
whole thing at once....so, I did that, which was a bit of a pain, but I no
longer have that problem.

Also, if you have FrontPage 2002, you can just right click on any file in
your folder list and choose Publish Selected Page and just choose to publish
the page you are changing, so FP doesn't have to check your whole web site
for changed pages. This is a real time saver too.

OR...you can use FTP and just upload individual pages...you shouldn't time
out doing this.

Hope some of this is helpful...bottom line is if your connection is slower
than your ISP's timeout limitations, you will continue to time out in the
middle of publishing in the traditional way.

Subject: PCWorks: Trouble with Web uploads

I am using windows 98 and have Bellsouth as the way I get on the web. Using
Explorer 6.0. When I try to upload a web I keep getting disconnected and
have to start over each time. I have changed from AOL to Bellsouth and never
had this trouble before.
The process starts normally using Frontpage and does what is expected up to
a point then a message comes up saying server disconnected should we
reconnect.!
Any help will be appreciated. I use a modem also.
