Here's a new one for me; I've been dealing with this for awhile: I thought they were called "hot keys" (maybe I'm wrong). It's where you take a shortcut in your start menu, go to properties, shortcut keys, and enter a letter or number (anything from the keyboard) to make accessing that shortcut easy from the keyboard; giving it the ol' ... Ctrl + Alt + Shortcut Key.
I always had that working fine until recently. What happens now is that every time I reboot the computer, those designated shortcut keys are no longer effective. What is stranger is that they are still listed in the shortcut's properties. What I then have to do to regain their effectiveness is remove the character (and replace it), click ok etc. That reinstalls the shortcut key. Anyone know what might have happened? ...
