You are fine with the router firewall although I would go to one of the scanning sites like www.dslreport.com and check to make sure. I run Zone Alarm Plus on my working machine just to keep all the programs from calling home and for stopping something I might inadvertently pick up although it's never happened. It seems almost all new software now wants to call home and I don't see any reason for it.
