(Sorry I forgot to delete sig. file on first post). After adding the update URL to 'trusted sites', I THEN ALSO had to add http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp to the trusted sites in order for the site to work as usual. Now does anyone know why this change? NOTHING has changed on this PC's settings. Looks like for some reason M$ is doing something "odd".
----- Original Message ----- From: "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Is anyone else having problems getting to the Windows Update site? (IE6, ME). A few days ago it was fine. Now when clicking the update icon, I get some oddball "Non HTML looking" page complaining that I don't have Active X support and security settings are set too high!! I lowered security settings, and even added the site to "trusted sites" and the same thing is still happening! I'm not going to do anything else because this just seems too odd, I'm thinking they may have been hacked or that new worm is screwing them up. -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner Want to exchange links with us? http://OrpheusComputing.com ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
