Ann,
Disable  Protected Storage System Provider located in the Administrative
Tools - Service.
If there is only one user and account then this is not really needed.
I have been running XP on 2-systems and have never had to enter
my User Name and Password except on the initial initialization.
Also there's lots of other irrelevant Programs that can be safely
disabled in the Administrative Tools, I have 20-disabled at present time.

It's a little harder for Win XP and Win 2000 users so see this detailed
