I'm having trouble with my mouse. My computer is an hp pavilion 7975. My monitor is an hp pavilion f70. My keyboard is the Hewlitt Packard that came with them. My mouse is a HP that came with them, without a ball, but with lights underneath. My mouse connection is with a USB connection. My trouble now is that my my mouse will work for a short time, and then it will freeze. I either wait a minute or two or jiggle the plugin and it will work again. Don't know whether or not the jiggling is doing it or the waiting. Once I had a message that one of my USB plugins was not working, but since then I haven't had any messages about that. Do any of you have any idea what my problem is? Do I need a new mouse? The light on the mouse comes on for a while and then it goes off. Sometimes it will work about ten minutes before it freezes.
Now, another question. My granddaughter gave me a Logitech Cordless Mouse Christmas before last. As I had just bought my new computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse, I didn't try to use the one she gave to me. Tonight, I opened it and put the CD in and tried to follow instructions. I wasn't able to make it work. Could someone tell me exactly how to install it and make it work? It's brand new. I just opened the box. It's probably a very simple thing that I am not doing correctly. If you have help for me, I'm sure you can realize that I am still a novice and need very simple step by step instructions.
