I have Win 98, 128 MB RAM, Gateway PII 400 mhz. Lately, for no discernable reason, I have been getting a message during the boot process as follows: "Enter your password for Microsoft Network". This appears just before the desktop begins to load. To continue the boot process, I have been able to click on "Cancel". Now I can do this only if I click very soon after the appearance of the message - if I wait the process is frozen.
I do not now and never have used MSN. I can get by if I click right away, but if the boot process is unattended, it hangs on that message and needs a reset. I have looked for a setting to change but can't seem to find it. Can anyone help me? Bruce Allen ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
