Will these free ones also scan incoming mail, as does Norton?
According to the FAQ's, AVG does scan incoming mail but does not certify. It's because of an inability to add text to an incoming HTML message. No matter, it still scans your email and before I installed my Zone Alarm firewall, AVG caught several bad messages. I have never had a problem with AVG and the updates can be done from the user interface. By the way, no one has mentioned that AVG has a new version #7 available since last month. They have made quite a few changes and additions to their new Web site. Yes, there is a free Version 7 and they will continue to support free Version 6 with updates.
