Someone else is going to have to help you with Netscape. I don't have it. Surely, someone on the list can help you. Doesn't Harold run Netscape? I imagine there is an option in Netscape mail to export the address book. Google is a good resource for Netscape instructions. I just found this page by typing in "save favorites Netscape" http://www.uvsc.edu/helpdesk/faq/browsers/bookmarks.html
If you have files that are fairly large that you want to move and it would take too many floppies, you could always use something like Yahoo briefcase. http://briefcase.yahoo.com/ You can upload and store up to 30 MB there. Then when you get the new machine set up you can download it. You need to make a boot disk for Win98. To format your hard drive you have to boot from the disk to a dos prompt and then you just type in the command. I think you said that your brother or someone was going to reinstall Win98. You could have him format you hard drive. He need to do it anyway before he reinstalls.
