hi.. for those who may want to keep track of solutions to problems in case they
experience the same problems, here's one you may want to make note of.... the problem
as i submitted it reads like this.....
hi... a friend of mine has this problem...we both use windows xp pro...when you right
click a picture file and go to "send to" and select "mail recipient",a small window
pops up and allows you to reduce the size of the file for faster emailing...this has
always worked well for us...but yesterday he informed me that the small window no
longer pops up for him to allow him to change the size of the pictures.... now all
that happens is a new mail message window appears with the pics attached....he is
using outlook express and this is his default email program....does anyone know why
this feature no longer works, how or why it would become disabled,or how he can restore
the feature (like maybe a registry change)....
thanks,Gary.
... the solution as given by a moderator of the pc nine-one-one help forum reads as
follows....
Have your friend go to the Start | Run line and type
regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll
Press Enter. Note the text of any error messages that appear. If there are no error
messages, reboot and see if pictures can be sent.
.... this forum can be found at www.pcnineoneone.com ..... it's a great place for
problem solving and if you register with them you are able to post messages of your
own...... Gary Burke.
