You get a program like WaveRepair and you play the tape into that
program through you audio input on your sound card and you can
then edit it if you want.  You then burn it to a CD.  I did all my LPs
that way.  Works great.  There may be a free test version, but I'm
not sure.  You can search for it using Google.
