Click on the start menu. Find run. Click on it. you will get a text entry box. Type in " services.msc /s " without the quotes. You will get a services window. Scroll down until you find messenger. Right click on messenger and choose properties. You will see a messenger properties box. Click on stop. Once the service has stopped, find the startup type box. Scroll down to diabled and click on it. Click ok. The messenger service won't start the next time you reboot. Should work.
