Hi Harold.. I have to laugh.. cause I"m 53.. and believe me.. I was the last person.. to get Cable tv..(fought it tooth and nail). until one day.. MANY years ago.. my daughter said.. MOM.. get it.. LOL.. and we finally did..And now.. I love it. That was when she was in HS. and now she's married ...a year already..
And,, 5 years ago.. I had no cell phone.. I had just moved out here.. and I was alone(after divorce) and everyone had a cell phone.. but ME.. and I got it. And again.. What would I do without it.. LOL Computers.. Another thing. I didn't want.. My daughter had one.. when she lived at home. and I REFUSED to touch it.. But then when she moved out..about 6 years ago.. We got one. .and I have to say.. honestly.. The reason.. my marriage broke up. is a computer...(after almost 26 years).. Hubby, got on the computer. and that was the end.. (lets just say.. Chat lines.. etc)...(we're good friends now.. so it's not a problem).. but the computer was KEY in my marriage breaking up. But that said.. I LOVE my computer.. and really can't imagine.. what life would be like without one.. I am a girl of the 50's.. Love 50's music.. Donna Reed show..(okay. so I'm really showing my age).. but you get my drift.. I could well relate to living back in the 50's.. but Time goes on. and technolgy too. and we can either go with it.. Or not. Mom.. who will be 80 years old on Monday.. Got a computer.. 3 years ago.. and loves it.. Mom has always loved new technology. whereas - I.. could stay in the past.. But I do agree with you.. Harold.. Life wasn't so bad.. It was NICE and uncomplicated... before all this new technology..
