A boot, BIOS, or OS password?
BIOS and boot passwords can be dealt with either clearing the CMOS or by referring to the product manuals from the respective vendor.
For the OS password what I use is a Linux boot disk (either a floppy or more commonly a cd). Commonly available is Knoppix <http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-old-en.html> and SuSe <ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/live-eval-9.0/> (be sure to read any readme's before proceeding with these downloads).
It's generally easy when you have the right tools but can be a right pain if you accidentally trip up on a step along the way :/
