Thanks for the input and the URL I remember is www.digitalrecorder.tv/services.htm then go to the bottom of the first page and click contact, you will see an email address, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Start an email and proceed until you see the request for email server outgoing and incoming then you can back out.
I checked my msn browser and I think it uses OE 6.0 which I found to be POP3 and I also think the email is routed thru hotmail. Don't much more about the system from there. I know that when I received email I get a little popup telling me how many emails I have and then it slowly starts downloading them. I use a modem as that is my only choice. But to answer your question, SMTP is the outgoing mail protocol, and the incoming is usually POP3 for email programs, but some free email addresses that integrate with OE for example may be the http protocol. You appear to be using the MSN browser, so I don't know if you're email is web-based or if you use OE or Netscape. If either of the latter two, the incoming and outgoing servers are going to be listed in their properties. In OE, it's under "tools", "accounts" then click your email address there and click "properties" then the "server" tab and you'll see the servers. I don't know where it is in NS since I don't use it. If your email is web-based, you're going to have to ask the website that's providing the email. USUALLY, in email programs they are something like mail.ispname.com (or .net) for both servers for an ISP given email address. Of course your ISP would go where "ispname" is.
