I have spent the last two days installing and uninstalling the software and nothing I try seems to work. As advised by tech help I installed the software first, then rebooted the computer, plugged in the cam to the usb port and still it shows as an Unknown Device in the device manager Im running Windows XP on a pent III 866 When I tried it on my husbands computer pent III 866 running Windows 98 its the same problem. The USB port is just not recognising that the software is installed. When I go to update drivers and point it in the direction of the installed drivers it just cant find them. Ive even downloaded the updated drivers from the Genius website with no luck. Does anyone have any other idea of how I can get it to recognise the camera? You help, as always, is greatly appreciated.
