Hi Mike and Clint.

Mike, the reason my daughter wants to copy the DVDs.. is that this way. in
case the machine "eats one".. they will not be lost.. (she's got ALOT of
trilogys.. as well.. as full collections. and they cost alot of money).

When she got married, last year.. we had the Video guy.. make us 3 VCR tapes..
She realized afterwards - she wanted more.. so we copied them.(no problem)..
onto a vcr tape..

She wants to be able to do the same thing.. with certain DVD's.. that are
very expensive.

I know with VCR tapes.. if you truly want to save them.. and not let anything
be taped over them.(you take off the little tab on the vcr tape).. but even
still .. if your machine.. decides to 'eat one'.. then you lose it
forever.(that has happened to me in the past too).

With DVDS.. there is no such tab.. and therefore.. if the machine decides to
destroy it.(which does happen).. than the expensive DVD will be lost forever.

CLINT.. Thanks so much for the site. I'm going to send it to my sister.. so
she can check it out.. The program she did see.. was well over a $100.00 and
she really didnt' want to spend that.. IF,, there is a free one available.. So
thank you.

Thanks to both of you.
Helene
