hi....for the past few days i'm having a puzzling problem with my Internet Explorer
browser.... firstly i will say that my computer has the usual bells and whistles and
that i'm using win XP home edition..... basically here's whats happening.... when i
click the IE shortcut the browser opens to my home page (Google) without any problem
but then it seems to freeze for about 20 seconds during which time i can't do anything
like use the scrool bar, type in the address bar, minimize the page, click a link, etc.
The green progress bar at bottom of the page fills in with the little blocks but just
remains there for the 20 seconds or so..... when things return to normal and i can go
to another page the same thing happens again on that page..... what i've done so far
is go into add\remove and do a repair of IE but that didnt solve the problem..... i
uninstalled IE which restored the previous version but no success..... i then
redownloaded IE which is IE6 SP1 and installed it but still h!
ad the same problem.... the only add-on i have is the google toolbar but disabling
that doesn't help.... has anyone else encountered this problem and would have a cause
and\or cure .... it's quite annoying and i only want to format if i really have to do
so........ thanks.... Gary Burke.
