Hello again, Now a new problem: I had earlier removed the Volume Control from the Systray (Control Panel, Multimedia, Uncheck "show volume control on taskbar"). I do that after I configure it, and then use the volume control knob on the keyboard.
Now, all of a sudden, the Volume Control is back on that taskbar and the box in Multimedia is grayed out (accepts no checks, like it's not even there).
