Well, that is something someone could try and it may indeed
help others since it helped you.

So, to be totally clear.....you're saying now that ALL IE
browser windows you open; regardless if they are a link in an
email, desktop shortcut, Favorites folder link, or the home
page icon on the QL toolbar, are ALL opening up in a **TRUE**
maximized window?

(BTW, whomever is using AVG, you can remove that AVG footer
from being displayed in all of your posts).

I'll answer Clint and bubbly Babs together:

Changing icons --- I always knew about, but haven't used the
Run (normal,
minimized, maximized) box, for a long time. When I went to use
that feature
by right clicking the shortcut > Properties, I noticed that
that "Run" box
wasn't there. And yet it still was a shortcut (allowing me to
change icons
which only a shortcut allows).

So I thought there was something wrong with the shortcut (even
though it
opened Explorer). Thinking that a new icon might do the trick,
I right
clicked the shortcut > Properties > and clicked "Change
icon" --- then
proceeded to try different icons, even making one of my own.
After that, I
don't know what happened but now it all works well and I put
back the
original Explorer icon.

I regret that all these moves haven't added one iota of
knowledge to the
group because I don't know what fixed it. It's like every once
in a while,
the software on my computer threatens a mutiny --- and here I
thought I was
captain of my ship. ... Harold
