What is "an dyes"?

If you've disabled any services since then, that could be
causing it, they can also become disabled somehow "on their
own". I don't know which services right off hand that could do
it though. But, I check things like **MAYBE** "Human Interface
Device Access", or "Alerter", and check
http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm for more info on
what services possibly has to be enabled.

Did you check under the "alarms" tab to see if anything was
changed there, or if it's set the way it should be, and is the
"Power Scheme" set to "laptop"?

Clint,
It is my laptop an dyes, that option is not working.
It used to be, when the alarm would sound, the icon would show
in the taskbar...but now it doesn't even
show, then.

Jeff are you talking about the Power Options area in the
Control Panel, and if you click the checkbox "Always show icon
on the taskbar" under the "Advanced" tab, that's not working?
Is this for your Laptop?

Running Windows XP, I can not get the power icon loaded at the
system tray.
I also can not get the battery alarm to do what I tell it in
power management.
I have it set to flash message at 10% and alarm at 3%..but I
just get the alarm at 10%.
Am I missing another setting some where?
