Many Thanks to all who replied. Yes I was able to retrieve all 28 programs
and their icons from the trash bin. They had been protected by Norton AV.
That was a break. I then ran all my security programs and found but one
cookie, nothing else. Something surely deleted all my security programs but
I got lucky. Thanks So Much. I will now created a new Restore point and save
my desktop layout.
Thanks Once More,
Rocky de Dragon from Florida

PS Please Note Roger:
The only files I found were:
XQ Shelliconcache clear.XPL
XQ Shelliconcache count.XPL
is it safe to delete both of them?

You might try deleting a file in the Windows Directory called
Shelliconcache. The system will restore the file upon bootup.
