By the process of elimination, I found out which part of Sygate was doing it. I had to uncheck "Enable stealth mode browsing". This still baffles me since that box IS CHECKED on my SP1 computer! :-0 Obviously SP2 is affecting that setting, how I do not know. -Clint
----- Original Message ----- From: "Support-OrpheusComputing.com" I just went into Sygate and even created a special rule to "allow ALL traffic" on the blackviper IP address and STILL cannot access the site! I see all program rules (even Generic Host Process) to "ask" and still can't access it! The strange thing is the warning is NOT any Sygate warning, it's an SP2 warning!! (BTW, I can totally block Generic Host Process on my main PC, and it was set to "block" on the SP2 PC, but I'm setting it back to "block" now since setting it to "ask" didn't help). -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ) ----- Original Message ----- From: "ETM" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> XP's "Generic Host Process", etc. for purposes of firewalls is not very descriptive. It gave me a fit originally to allow it server "rights" but if I want to get in and see what is going on at eBay, I have no choice. Elaine Hello Support-OrpheusComputing.com On Sunday, September 12, 2004, you wrote I'm totally stumped. I even added it to "Trusted sites" and I STILL can't get to it! Ah, I found the problem. Sygate firewall was preventing it, but HOW or WHY, I have no idea! Sygate is set EXACTLY the same way on my main PC and I have no issue with it there! -Clint ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
