Can you change the document properties? It's been a while since I used
the full Acrobat but there was a properties entry under Edit in version
5. There is also "A-PDF INFO Changer" that lets you do this, see this
site for the free download http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pdfinfo.html

Hi all. I have some PDF files that for some strange reason are
showing up at search engines with strange title text. ALL of
my PDF files have descriptive names, yet apparently the search
engines are reading something ELSE embedded within them and
putting that as the title "sniplet". I have some that are
showing up as "Untitled" and some with totally unrelated words
as well! Some I created myself, some I got from manufacturers,
and some from elsewhere.
I need to change this and upload them again, but I cannot find
a way to do it. Of course, the Adobe Reader won't do it. I
have Acrobat Exchange where I can create and edit PDF files,
but I can't change this info in it. In fact, it doesn't even
SEE this odd information!
I have "PDFCreator" and it too doesn't show "Untitled" or the
other words anywhere in it. But with it I CAN change the
title, subject, etc. However when I save the PDF file after
changing or adding these things, the file is either TOTALLY
BLANK, or the tops and bottoms of the PDF are chopped off!
So can anyone please recommend a method of changing these
titles and resaving them?
Thanks,
-Clint
