Peter, thanks a bunch.

I mentioned below I CAN change doc properties (Subject, title,
author, etc.) with that PDFCreator, but, it won't save the file
correctly. I just noticed that when I open up the file again,
it's back to what it was before! Note this is PDF *CREATOR*,
and I'm opening up a PDF file with it, trying to change it,
apparently that won't work.

Now with this program you mentioned, it apparently DOES work
with it. I changed the data on a PDF file, opened up in the
reader, and it held the info. I uploaded the modified PDF file
and submitted it to the SE's, so I won't know if that also
changed the sniplet until the URL is updated in the indexes.

What I don't understand is when I opened up this one file with
PDF Info Changer, I did NOT see anywhere in it what was showing
up at the SE's (search engines)! So I have a bad feeling that
info is still going to remain. Obviously there is some hidden
embedded info somewhere. This is the PDF file as seen at
Yahoo:
http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0geu.UgOPpFZLoAPTdXNyoA?p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.orpheuscomputing.com%2Fdownloads%2FAsus_CD-S520.pdf&ei=UTF-8&fr=sfp&x=wrt
That clickable link text is NOT supposed to be there and I have
no idea how it got there. That is what I'm trying to change on
several PDF files (and I like I said, on some it's just
"UNTITLED" and other unrelated words or phrases).
Odd, how it shows up differently at MSN:
http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.orpheuscomputing.com%2Fdownloads%2FAsus_CD-S520.pdf&form=QBRE&go.x=12&go.y=7

(Here is an example of one with no title at all.
http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.orpheuscomputing.com%2Fdownloads2%2FCTC-175_CTC-176_CTC-177-training-manual.pdf&mkt=en-us&FORM=LIVSOP&go.x=18&go.y=2
 .
That one I cannot change, PDF Info Changer says it's
"encrypted"!)

So I'll have to keep submitting and checking back to see when
the newer version is showing up, hopefully I can see at least
some difference so I'll know the newer version has been
indexed. At very least, this is still a very useful program
even if it doesn't work for this purpose.

Thanks again, I appreciate it.

Can you change the document properties? It's been a while since
I used
the full Acrobat but there was a properties entry under Edit in
version
5. There is also "A-PDF INFO Changer" that lets you do this,
see this
site for the free download
