I'll adjust the patches if need be, its not a big deal. They also
might just work...
I don't think I added any patches specific 0.40.1, I just ported the
ones that were in packages/patches and removed the redundant and
irrelevant ones.

There was a byte order bug fix that I'm sure HC has already patched
anyway.
Also, "list length" has the new, "correct" behavior for non-list
messages. I think that's all the difference between 0.40-1 and
0.40-2,
so 0.40-1 is probably fine to use for Pd extended.
