I would say yes.
Obviously, the wish app can have a different architecture than the core.
The only requirement is that the pdfontloader library has the same
architecture as the wish app.
But I agree it's good practice not to mix 64-bit and 32-bit software
within a single application, unless there are compelling reasons.

afaict the problem lucarda is describing comes mostly from the fact
that wish.exe and pdfontloader.dll have different archs. (or is this
what you were saying).
Yes, that's what I was saying. If previous versions of the windows 64
bit build worked fine with a 64 bit pdfontloader, then it's because Pd
game with a 64 bit tk, so it follows that is what's needed in this case.
