As for audio dropouts with dynamic patching, there have been several discussion on the list (i.e. check the archive). This might be one of the best shots: http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2011-08/090385.html An easy solution is to detect the onset of a DSP graph change and stop the audio for few milliseconds, then activate it again.
