Did you mean nyquist-frequency rather than DC here?
IIRC DC gain for hip~ should be 0 or very close to it
and nyquist-frequency gain 1.
I did notice that delay loops with [hip~ 5] to leak DC do tend to
explode without some [*~ 0.9] or [lop~ 10000] or whatever...
