The next step is to see if those externals are available on deken, if not then 
we can look in to building/updating them.

One of the main issues is that maintaining something like pd-extended is a 
*huge* amount of work. Splitting up the externals helps with that, but now 
relies a bit more on everyone else in helping to maintain them.
