from finder navigate to /private/etc/  and open the file „hosts" 
there you should see a line 
127.0.0.1       localhost

if its not there, it has been quite likely tampered with and that line has to 
be reinsterted with a sudo enabled textedit.
(look at your own host file, thats presumably healthy)
