yes.in Pd-0.50 there was an underlinking bug reported as [975], which was fixed for Pd-0.51.
While i am the Debian packaging team for Pd, i don't have access to the Ubuntu repositories, so i cannot fix the problem for Ubuntu-20.04.
Ubuntu-20.10 already has a fixed version.in any case, you probably should file a bug-report against the Ubuntu package:
$ reportbug puredata(otoh, i've never seen anyone working on a Pd bug in Ubuntu, so it might be better to first find someone with the actual powers)
