I have a suggestion related to the tranlation strings. I have realized that a few translatable strings include formatting tags, like msgid "
Requires:
" msgstr "
Necesita:
" Given that it seems easy to add support for other output formats, say different html flavours or some XML dialect, I would suggest that these formatting tags be separated from the text so that the translatable string could be shared by other modules. At present, html.sh contains translatable string like this: XBUILD_DATE=`echo $"
Build Date:" If we separate the string "
Build Date:" into a format dependent "
" and a format independent "Build Date:", the latter could be moved to another file, say strings.txt, which could be included by html.sh, plaintext.sh, htmlcss.sh, xml_xxx.sh and other hypothetical output modules. With this change, translators would not have to worry about new output modules :) What do you think on this?
