You're absolutely right. Since I've no plan to support other format
soon, this was out of my mind. I'll modify this.
About the problem about long name with dpkg, I haven't notice this
problem. A solution would be welcome.
About the proposition you made about the function
package_db_view_packages , I tested it and, well, it's to be faster
