Since my presentations generally deal with materials that are already in the PDF
format - such as documents and photographs - presenting that material using Adobe
Reader 6.0 is quick and easy. In terms of creating something "new" I can easily
assemble pieces into a Word document and quickly transform it into PDF. By adding
sound and movie clips - Acrobat certainly qualifies as an authoring tool. No doubt a
factor my choice is that I am familiar with Word and Acrobat and far less familiar
with PowerPoint. Certainly PowerPoint users swear by it but I believe presenting with
Reader to be an equivalent alternative and perhaps superior in some respects..
