A question about graphic creation to pdf.

On the same newsletter I am printing, the client has many graphics in them. They all seem to have a light gray rectangular background. She did not save them as transparent. Some are wmf, jpeg and tiffs. Some came from Ill and some from PS.

She is using PM7 to create the final and then save as eps to pdf.

I remember having problems with transparent graphics once in a while, but what would make a gray area around the graphics, or more importantly, what can I do about it?

Thanks for your help. Jann

One more question - why is it that pdf created in PhotoShop are so different from those created in distiller? I have opened pdf in PS to edit and then resave or print to distiller, but they always come out awful! Just wondering how to create pdf in PS. Thanks. I am not very adept in pdf after version 3. It was actually my favorite version as far as file exchanges. There was never a problem with fonts. Jann Jann L.
