[PDF-Basics] postscript error no PDF produced

Hi,

Can anyone help me? I cannot get my PageMaker 7.0 or Freehand 8 files to produce PDF's. I am using an Apple computer Mac OS 9.2.2. My postscript driver (printer is LaserJet 4V). I use Distiller 5.0. I keep getting an error message that says warning PostScript error, No PDF produced. The only thing I can do is export to as a PDF in Freehand, however it does not retain my postscript fonts or produce separations. In PageMaker it will not run through Distiller at all, it goes as far as downloading the postscript fonts but will not create the PDF. I am working with files that need to be color separated, retain their fonts, crop marks, etc., for output to various commercial print vendors.
