You need to set up a virtual printer. Use AdobePS 8.3. You can download this from the adobe website. Print the postscript file the virtual printer, then use distiller.
Your problem certainly has nothing to do with the fact that you have a Macintosh.

Can anyone help me? I cannot get my PageMaker 7.0 or Freehand 8 files to produce PDF's. I am using an Apple computer Mac OS 9.2.2. My postscript driver (printer is LaserJet 4V). I use Distiller 5.0. The only thing I can do is export to as a PDF in Freehand, however it does not retain my postscript fonts or produce separations.
