If all you're looking at doing is just printing report files that have already been created, then perhaps a response I posted to another question back on Sept 24th might be of some help. In it, I said (in part): If you go to http://www.pdf995.com/ you will find that you can download a free mass converter. Actually, now that I look at it again, they send you to the site http://www.omniformat.com/ to get the converter. I believe it's all the same outfit though. The free version converter does NOT expire, but if you want, you can purchase it and other options for anywhere from $9.95 to $19.95. If you use the free version you do have to see advertising. What it does is allow you to set up a "watch" folder, and any of certain types of documents you put in there are automatically converted. I just reinstalled it here on my pc and tested it (I forgot how it worked). I fired up the watch program, moved five word documents to it, and in a jiffy had my five PDF files. The original files get deleted, and I had to close out five advertising windows when it was done. But it worked, and it's free. Of course (again) if I want to pay $9.95 I can avoid the advert windows. <End of previous message, back to NOW> The omniformat converter will allow you to just "drop" certain types of files into the watch folder and it will create a pdf file and then delete the source file. I know that pdf995 is not the only one of these types of applications out there, it's at least the third one that I played around with. Now, will lit handle the type of file that you are producing from Access? I haven't the foggiest. However, it's a freebie to try, and then to buy wouldn't put you in the poor house (although for a commercial application they might charge more, I don't know). What have you got to lose? Give it a look anyway. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Leonard Rosenthol Sent: Tuesday, October 07, 2003 9:41 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [PDF-Basics] Which software required? Nothing native in PHP, sorry - but you might want to look at some Java solutions such as iText or command line tools...
