[PDF-Basics] question on layered files

Hello,   Im using Acrobat version 5.0   Is there a way to remove the various layers that I watch my computer "load" onto a pdf page?   It is a picture of the world. Id like to have it clean before other data is added to it.   Thank you   Glenn Bergman
