In Windows Explorer go to TOOLS > FOLDER OPTIONS >
FILE TYPES.
Scroll down to the "PS" extension. Make sure it is set to
launch with your version of Acrobat Distiller.

Maybe I'll set one up to see if that corrects the
problem.
