Hi Bill, I have spoken to our various web printers regarding this issue and they have *All* informed me that they do not recommend creating pdf's directly out of ACS (and in particular InDesign). It would appear that writing a conventional PS 2/3 file is still required by the PS Interpretor at the RIP. As you say, preserving transparency/layer issues is of paramount importance and writing to PS is safer way to guarantee file integrity.

Hi all
Has any one got any views, suggestions or even reasons for the following:
Would any one except PDF created directly out of the new Adobe Creative suite for high-end output (Prepress). I am currently not, as i dont want to fall into any issues with layers, transparencies etc etc.
Any one excpeting or not excepting these kind of PDF's and help, views and reasons for and against would be great.
Thanks in advance
Bill
Cheers
Bill
