I mean, the apply function with finish_p will be called only once, isn't it? The last week we inserted a modification in the code to allow the filters to return PDF_ENOUTPUT while in finish mode. See http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/pdf-devel/2008-10/msg00048.html
