Try using Pitstop http://www.enfocus.com/products/overview.php?nr=3 you can download a free trial at this link. When installed you will see some new purple tools that show up (about 5-6) select the arrow, highlight the stuff you want then use the standard EDIT-COPY, switch documents, EDIT PASTE or the CNTRL-C, CNTRL-V. They should also have a pdf manual that describes features and how to use. I have a XML file with russian caracters written with Unicode entities. 2. Also I have to make a PDF but the russian font have embeding limitations (I start from a Page Maker file). 3. When I cut/paste between Internet explorer and word all the caracters stays the same (I use the Arial unicode font). So I built a word document with all my russian sentences, then make a "PS" file, then make the "PDF". This work very well ..... 4. So at this point I guessed that I could cut/paste between two pdf files (the one with Russian with a proprietary font that wont be embedded and the one with my sentences in Arial Unicode) but that does'nt work .... when I do that I only get a serie of black dots or "??????????" instead of my caracters ..... I know that I can "crack" my font with "embed.exe" or wathever .... But I cannot do that due to legal restrictions. So, This is my question !!! : Is there an efficient way to cut/paste between PDFs and get all my caracters to be displayed correctly ???
