I have experience implementing a scan-to-PDF system using Acrobat Capture and an industrial strength sheet-fed scanner for a customer that had an ongoing need - and they ended up using a service bureau instead anyway. Unless you have A LOT of old documents (10's of thousands of pages) don't mess with it. A conversion project of roughly 300 pages (300dpi) scanned for $50. OCR would be an additional expense. -- C.
